Shelter Construction Project

Chrysalide is an NGO created to provide a broad range of support services to women and children who are HIV positive, suffering from the challenges of substance abuse or who work in the sex trade. While care and counseling are key elements of Chrysalide's strength, the primary focus is on rehabilitation back into society.

 

Chrysalide has been asked by the government to create and host a Women in Distress Hostel that will accommodate 25 women and their children at any one time.  

 

DBL joined with the government and Chrysalide to construct a shelter for women at risk in society.
