In India’s mica mines, too many children are denied the right to safety, play, and education. Instead of school, they spend long days underground, facing injuries and illness while collecting the mineral that makes everyday products shine.

This year, our Bike-A-Thon has a clear mission: raise $17,500 to provide 300 bicycles for children in these communities. Each bike is more than a way to reach school — it’s a path to freedom, learning, and dignity.

For the sixth year, our board member Dan Krassenstein has taken on the challenge of cycling 2,000 km (1,243 miles) and has personally contributed $2,500 to launch this campaign. Now, together, we can ensure that hundreds of children leave the mines behind and step into classrooms where they can learn and dream again.
