Hace unos 15 años, durante mis viajes de negocios, vi el hambre, la falta de vivienda y la desesperación y decidí hacer algo al respecto.
Tomé la decisión de retirarme de mi vida ejecutiva que me cambió la vida para poder trabajar con algunos colegas cercanos para crear una organización que se enfocara en Delivering Better Lives y que luego se convirtió en nuestro nombre. Sabíamos que al brindar mejores vidas a quienes lo necesitaban, al mismo tiempo, estábamos brindando mejores vidas a nosotros mismos y a otras personas que sabíamos que trabajarían con nosotros.

TEACAN Chile and Delivering Better Lives
For nearly a decade, TEACAN Chile has been transforming lives through clinical care and animal-assisted therapy, providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to thrive. Their innovative approach, combining medical expertise with the healing power of animals, has made a profound impact in the Araucanía region and beyond.
As TEACAN prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary on April 20, 2025, Delivering Better Lives is proud to have played a role in their journey. Our commitment to supporting organizations that create sustainable change has led us to partner with TEACAN on critical infrastructure projects that enable them to expand their reach and services.
Last year, Delivering Better Lives helped fund the installation of septic systems at TEACAN’s facilities—an essential step toward building fully functional bathrooms, showers, and other necessary amenities to improve their operations. This investment not only enhanced TEACAN’s ability to provide quality care but also laid the groundwork for future growth and accessibility.
Seeing the progress firsthand has been inspiring, and TEACAN’s dedication continues to drive our commitment to their cause. As they mark this incredible milestone, we are once again stepping up to support their future.

MIDNIGHT MISSION WOMEN’S CENTER
PATIO RENOVATION
We are thrilled to announce the completion of the Women's Center patio renovation project at LA's Skid Row Midnight Mission complex - transitional safe-space housing program for 48 women, providing these traumatized women with transitional housing. Now they will have a comfortable, clean, and safe area to sit outside.
We are grateful to our corporate partner Expo Freight Limited (EFL) for their financial support to sponsor this worthy project. At DBL we firmly believe that every person deserves dignified access to basic needs; including safe housing, healthy food, basic healthcare and education. Embracing a journey of gratitude, Delivering Better Lives reflects on a remarkable collaboration that unfolded in partnership with GLT Logistics, proving that hashtag#EveryActionMatters has a profound impact on our world. This past year, Last year, we had the opportunity to team up with GLT for a transformative initiative: a makeover for one of the homes at the His House Children's Home, providing solace for foster care children.
The culmination of our efforts transpired during the Customer Appreciation Event, where festive moments seamlessly intertwined with acts of kindness. Graciously receiving gifts and essentials, we illuminated the Christmas season for the children in the foundation. BIKE-A-THON FUNDRAISING
Supporting Wheels for Workers in Buffalo!
Delivering Better Lives extends its heartfelt gratitude to all supporters who made the #wheelsforworkers campaign a resounding success! Accomplishing a remarkable feat, we are proud to announce that a total of $4,250 has been raised, alongside an impressive 1,228 miles covered in support of #wheelsforworkers716.
This achievement represents a collaborative effort, and we are pleased to report that the $4,250 raised serves as a matching contribution to W4W's efforts. This means that a significant impact will be made on the lives of 300 newly arrived refugees in Buffalo, New York. Each individual will receive a refurbished bike, along with essential accessories such as a lock and a helmet.
Delivering Better Lives acknowledges and appreciates the generosity of all those who supported this cause. It is through your contributions that we can make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Together, we are creating positive change and providing meaningful assistance to those in need. The Al Nasreyyeh School Project - Jordan
The Al Jizah District, located approximately 35 kilometers south of Amman, has long been neglected and in need of significant improvements. With a population of 130,000 residents, the area faces unique challenges, including large family sizes averaging seven members due to polygamy and cultural factors related to early marriage. However, a series of ambitious projects are now underway to uplift and upgrade this underserved community.
We are thrilled to share an incredible story of transformation brought about by the collaborative efforts of dedicated individuals and the generosity of donors. Together, we are Delivering Better Lives and building a brighter future. Let's dive into the culmination of the Al Nasreyyeh School project in Jordan.
The Al Nasreyyeh School project in Jordan has undergone a remarkable makeover, thanks to the unwavering commitment of all those involved. Here are some of the significant improvements that have taken place:

•New water tank.
• Paint (inside and outside).
• New classroom doors and windows.
• Shades for the playground area.
• New fans inside classrooms.
• New curtains inside classrooms.
• Bathroom maintenance.
• Filters for drinking water.
• Microphone and speakers.

• 4 new large whiteboards.
• Playground maintenance including new swings and slides.
• 2 new printers.
The project was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Maydan, an organization established in Jordan by former UTi employees. Once again, great job team!

All Ears Cambodia
Thanks to your continued support, we were able to impact the lives of thousands by providing better access to health care, like in Cambodia, with the Advancing Oto-Audiology Project and the Northern Cambodia Project, where we collaborate with All Ears Cambodia an NGO that works to address hearing-related problems.
The funds provided by Delivering Better Lives, which has allowed the purchase of essential medical equipment, have significantly strengthened the services of the ENT Department at Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh. It has provided invaluable support for the essential technical resources required for all three aspects of the project – for clinical and training needs. In doing so, your support has provided considerable scope for the development of Otology and audiology services. In pursuit of medical excellence, we have built upon existing resources, to ensure that essential health services are made available for those in need. In doing so, we have begun to
Provide a very positive and sustainable difference to the quality of life of those suffering with ear disease and hearing loss.
The project has had a positive impact on a number of global sustainable development goals (SDGs), as a specialist health service provider countering the disabling effects of ear disease and hearing loss, and with the complementary component of continuing professional development of staff (male and female) working in health.

THE SEWING TRAINING PROJECT FOR WOMEN OF MATINDI

Matindi is located in a very disadvantaged area and the families have subsistence farming as their main livelihood. Families face widespread poverty due to their dependence on agriculture, which is sometimes not as fruitful as they expect due to weather conditions, pests, etc.
With this training program, the women will gain a new skill that will help them earn a stable income to take care of their families and will give them great self-confidence, increasing their self-esteem and psychological well-being. Our approach is to provide training courses for them to learn to sew.
Due to the weather, the construction of the classroom has been delayed, but classes have already started and it has been great. Delivering Better Lives, Europe & The Middle East has supplied sewing machines. With the help of "Amigos de Sierra Leona", the women of Matindi are learning a new skill that will help them establish their own businesses to support their families and community.
We believe that a project like this is essential to reduce the poverty and inequality suffered by these women, while also granting them a certain economic independence.

We are so thankful to our Project Manager Thao Huynh who recently visited the Social Work and Re-Educations Center in Vietnam with a great surprise for its students. The kids were so excited to receive their gift package with delicious snacks to brighten their day.

School rehabilitation at urban areas
This project aims to rehabilitate one school in Jizah district, provide the schools with needed furniture to accommodate classes, and rehabilitate the WASH facilities, targeting child's school (primary and middle) in the age group of 6–15 year.

DBL is thrilled to announce our latest project in collaboration with Youth For Seva, a nonprofit organization located in Bangalore, India!
The right to an education for disadvantaged communities worldwide has always acted as one of the pillars at the root of what our organization stands for. In the past, we have partnered with YFS in order to provide funding towards the refurbishment of a rural elementary school, we are proud to continue our outreach through our latest STEM project.
The recently awarded funds presented by DBL will aid YFS with the completion of The STEM Project. The project targets impoverish rural youth with exposure to science, and technology. In this opportunity we have provided the means for the Acquisition of TechnoBot kits, DIY kits, paper airplane kits and properly configured laptops.

NEW PROJECT
ALDIMI SHELTER
LIMA, PERU
We are thrilled to announce the completion of our latest project at the Albergue Aldimi - Hostel in Peru.
Thanks to your generous support, we have successfully remodeled and fully equipped two rooms, a neuropathy bathroom, and a laundry center on the terrace. These new accommodations will be for the exclusive use of patients with Bone Marrow Transplantation as they navigate through their recovery, along with family members joining them for their personal care.
Thanks to your giving we can continue Delivering Better Lives through projects like this one and many others to come. Remember that all donations made in 2022 will be matched dollar-for-dollar!

Green House project for The Natural Medicine Center
We are excited to share the completion of the Green House project for The Natural Medicine Center in Vietnam, a medicinal plant treatment and drying room.
The facility treats an estimated 7000 patients free of charge with natural medicines that they produce themselves.
Medicinal plants are currently dried on the ground and The Green House will protect and increase their production, especially in the rainy season.

"Aula de Paz" Colombia
Young girls now are enjoying the "Sala de Paz” (Room of Peace) in Casa de La Chinca - Colombia.
The project includes a therapeutic space for 50 young girls and the kitchen and dining area roof repair. Together we have built a safe and nurturing environment for the youth residing in this special program.

Restoring the Boys Home in Ratchaburi
In 2019 DBL funded and managed the construction of the home for teenage boys at the Lorenzo’s location.
After the heavy monsoon rains damaged the home's foundation, in 2021 we were able to begin restoring Boys Home.
We are excited to share the completion of the Ratchaburi Home for Boys project in Thailand. The residents now have a flood-proof house with a new kitchen.
DBL believes that all people on this earth have the right to a roof over their heads.

Al Shouna Al Janoubieh
Being able to have a positive impact on children's lives is a blessing. We are excited to share the Jordan Valley project - Al Shouna Al Janoubieh. This beautiful playground will offer kids from the local community a safe area to play for years to come.

Dr. Ron Glickman
We are pleased to announce a new member of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ron Glickman. Ron is a seasoned business executive with a proven track record for developing high potential talent and motivating culturally diverse teams to deliver breakthrough results. He is currently the CIO at Trader Joe’s Company and an Adjunct Professor at Cal State LA, where he teaches leadership courses for the Colleges of Business and Economics and Professional and Global Education.
Dr. Glickman holds a BBA from National University, an MBA from the University of Southern California, and an Ed. D from the Charter College of Education at Cal State, LA. His research focused on curriculum and pedagogy considerations for connecting personal growth and leadership development.
We are very excited that Ron has joined our board and look forward to the great impact he will make as we together deliver better lives to those in need.

Mejora la tecnología para niños en hogares de crianza
Nos complace anunciar el Proyecto Conectando Jóvenes de Crianza con el objetivo de mejorar la tecnología para los niños de His House Children's Home en Miami. Ahora, los jóvenes de crianza tendrán un acceso mejorado y constante a Internet, que es fundamental para el aprendizaje digital, así como cámaras térmicas como medida de seguridad contra COVID-19.
Es un placer para todos nosotros ayudar a los niños de His House durante estos tiempos difíciles. La subvención financiará avances tecnológicos que mejorarán la conectividad para el aprendizaje remoto en His House. También financiará la instalación de Cámaras Térmicas de Control de Acceso, una medida de seguridad adicional al protocolo de prevención COVID-19 existente en Su Casa. Este maravilloso proyecto se enfoca en las tres áreas de enfoque para lograr una vida mejor: educación, salud e infraestructura comunitaria.

Quienes tienen la noble misión de disminuir y prevenir la falta de vivienda en todo el condado de Los Ángeles al brindar servicios integrales de administración de casos y apoyo, vivienda, búsqueda y colocación de empleo, alcance y servicios de referencia.

Hermanitas de los Pobres (Hermanitas de los Pobres)
Bajo la actual pandemia de COVID 19 que impacta con mayor dureza en las personas mayores que viven en residencias, nosotros (DBL) contactamos a las Hermanitas de los Pobres Instituciones ya que pensamos que estarían trabajando en condiciones muy difíciles. Confirmamos que contaban con un número considerable de personal sanitario de apoyo en casa debido al COVID19 por lo que debían gestionar el apoyo a los vecinos por ellos mismos y unas pocas personas de apoyo y voluntarios.
Nos pidieron que los apoyáramos con una grúa adicional para permitirles trasladar a estos ancianos. Debido a la urgencia, ordenamos de inmediato el dispositivo que ha sido entregado en la Residencia San Luis el pasado 31 de marzo.
Esta es la segunda grúa donada a esta Institución (A medida que las personas envejecen necesitan más y más equipos que les ayuden a trasladar a las personas mayores que tienen dificultades para moverse por sí mismas).
Tienen en España varias casas (residencias). En Madrid hay dos sedes. Atienden aproximadamente a 100 personas en cada ubicación. También hemos gestionado el apoyo en materiales de limpieza (lejía, amoniaco, detergente, etc.) donados por una empresa con sede en Madrid.
